Maitland Garden Village is situated near to the CBD of Cape Town. Like many under-priviledged communities, this one has its share in social issues. These include drugs, poverty and broken families.
We do what we can to meet needs within the local community, for example we installed a shower for a family who were using a bucket to wash. We provide food parcels to families who are unable to work and provide transportation to community members who may need to get to a hospital. We also helped make a vegetable garden for one family and paid the creche fees for a grandmother so that her grandson could continue to attend creche, which enabled her to carry on working.
We try to assist where we can without creating a situation where people become dependant on us. We are open to just about anything!
